Well that $12,000 ebay rip off price was quite tempting but... I don't think I could do it! How much will they actually be going for by the time they are out here anyway? I can't think it will be that much more than RRP as there should be replenishment supplies before crimbo.
For a grand i'd think long and hard about it though...

this guy bought $60ks worth to flog on ebay... each machine is going for $750, assuming he sells them all (no doubt really) he's gonna be minted. when the ps3 rolls around i'm gonna get a loan from the bank and buy a stack direct from sony to sell on.

Another one I seen just went for ?460. I wouldnt sell it for that though. Not a chance in hell!!

I'm keeping mine. I can see how these crazy prices are tempting, but I'm buying one because I want one, if I didn't want it then I'd cancel my preorder and let someone else have it.

As for buying an extra one, I think it's wrong to be honest. If people didn't do this then there would be more consoles to go around. I'm amazed at how many americans on various forums have bought extra Xbox 360's for the sole purpose of selling on eBay. For everyone one of these there is one less console in the shops and someone is missing out on their console as a result. As a gamer I'd hate it if I missed out on mine just because the person infront of me in the preorder queue bought 2 to stick on eBay, I'm surprised anyone here could do that.

I get all attached to my machines, so I'd probably not sell even for a profit.

That said, if I could sell for double, and re-buy them from work with my 10% discount, then maybe... but y'know... didn't buy my 360 to sell it...

Please note that any xbox360's sales with large markups in the NTSC-uk trading forum will be sent straight to trash. We did the same thing with the PSP.

We would not condone buying from these people on auction sites either. The more money they make, the more they will be prepared to invest in doing the same thing for the next console launches, meaning even less stock to go round.

i wouldn't do it as its wrong. i'd only have to sell if i needed the money desperately for food and bills and still would sell for what i paid and if i got more for it then it would be a bonus

Was looking at the ones going for $1000 or more on eBay US and most were being bought by the same users, with no feedback, and who registered just to buy the console.

Seems like mass auction screwing to me.
