Selling your gran for a 360?

Like many I expect to have to sell some stuff to make funds for the 360, as Im tryna not spend my heard earned on games at the moment.

Ive sold my mac mini and laptop and x800pro graphics card, admittedly the majority has gone to finance my pc upgrade, but thanks to some decent ebay bids Ive extra to put towards a 360

Thats pretty much how Im going to be funding mine, how about you?

Any ingenious ways of scraping together the (probably extortionate) amounts of cash needed to purchase a 360 bundle? Maybe you are selling your old Xbox stuff, or your collection of limited edition consoles you swore youd never part with? Lets hear it

I just mentioned to my fiancee that I thought it wa unfair that there was no male equivilent to an engagement ring, she offered to pay half towards my 360.

I was tempted to sell my ds, but I have to play Animal Crossing on it, so that was a no go.

I have been working 2 jobs and going to Uni. First job is 60 miles away writing software which I drive to every Wed-Fri, second job is at toys r us which i work Sat-Tues 6pm-12am and Uni is computing.

I am now the proud owner of a 32" LCD and Xbox 360 which both came off my bank account in the last 2-3 hours.

I'm trading in a few bits and pieces, but I also asked for GAME vouchers for Christmas, some of which I've gotten early so that should help soften the blow.

My Girlfriend is funding mine - though I have to get the games myself - or get someone else to get me some for xmas presents.

Small price to pay really, and not bad considering her staff discount. One of the reasons I'm very happy to be getting a PAL machine for a change, saving me a fortune!

I'm going to sell loads of my old consoles, which I love dearly but are just sitting in the loft at the moment. Expect a big bargain thread in the sales forum soon with loads of import SNES, N64, XBox and GC clobber.

I'm also selling some collectable records on Ebay. Sad to see my original of This Charming Man and 'Gold Vinyl' Fools Gold, but I'll never play them again.

Funny enough, it's partly a christmas present from my Gran so I guess...

saving for a couple of weeks plus yearly bonus - this launch isn't that expensive anyway compared to previous one's (Xbox and GC launches both cost me more).

Looks like I will be asking for money off everyone for Christmas. It's a bit of a pain really becase it means all I will be opening on Christmas day is a bag of chocolate coins.

Multiple factors here... part funded by my girlfriend as birthday present, part myself and the rest is covered by trade in of my old XBox and 9 games (PS2 & XBox), so should get a good bit off the price with all this stuff to trade in at Game.

Was also planning to fund some of it by selling my beloved G-Con 2 with Time Crisis 3 and my steering wheel and pedals with GT4 but no takers on those unfortunately.

Any expenditure will be going on the Credit card so dont need to worry about it for now

I reckon the 'selling the beehive' one is gonna take some beating.
