I've known its been coming for ages so set the money aside 6 months or so ago. The only unexpected expense was an impulse purchase of a HDTV the other day which as I've had a selling spree of general stuff over the last year I had the cash already in the bank for.

But yes. I would have sold my gran. Though maybe not gone to Mad Gear's extremes. If I'd been that desperate I'd have pimped out my mates ass.

I'd like to say overtime at work, but I already spent that on a TV

I've sold quite a few DVDs at work which has got me ?50, plus around ?100 selling some old games...plus I sold my old TV for ?40. Adds up, but still not enough. Ahh well. Will trade in my old Xbox too, that should help a bit!

Like John though, the 360 launch isn't costing me as much as the original Xbox launch (?400 for machine alone).

Sold my old TV for ?450 and the modded Xbox for ?50 to fund a HDTV and the 360. The rest is coming out of my rent/food money.

Been working night shift, 6 nights a week for the last few months in order to get the extra cash. I can plenty afford it though, as I past the 'got enough' mark ages ago, and have grown quite accustomed to such wierd hours.

I'd never sell old games or consoles in order to buy a new one. Sacrificing games I love for games that are new just does not make sense to me. Even if I don't play it anymore, it's my collection, y'know. May not be that big, but it reflects me and my tastes imo.

I did a series of particularly gruesome favours for Russian sailors.

                Спасибо. *shiver*

Did it involve systematic neural programming so you could comprehend their rugged features both facially and bodily?

See, I dont mind shifting games that I aint gonna play again to fund new things, it would just gather dust so dont mind... HOWEVER, I could never trade in or sell any of my beloved DVD collection, that is my pride and joy and will ever be used to fund other projects... 200+ first class movies and still on the increase
