I do indeed!! I also remember the excellent king-sized SNES SFII poster that came with it (featured artwork of all the characters on it), which at the time interested me far more than the GB watch, though that itself was still cool.

As for the demise of the EMAP videogames mags, I'm not surprised tbh. Nintendo Magazine System & Mean Machines Sega were essential reading for me during the early-90s, but Nintendo Official Magazine was absolutely dire, for all the reasons already mentioned on this thread. I still don't know to this day just why MAXIMUM was killed off after only seven(?) issues, can somebody please explain? It was a seriously high-quality mag, arguably ahead of it's time.

As for videogames magazines today, I was until recently a subscriber to EDGE, but I've slowly begun to stop buying that as well. N64/NGC was ok, but has now become way too childish.

Obviously, it's all about the internet for gaming news these days.

I've heard someone mention, funnily enough, 'Arcade', but I've never seen it anywhere and don't even know if it still exists.

Kongster - Edge doesn't talk down to its readers, If anything it assumes they know more than they actually do.

vertigo - Arcade didn't last very long, it was also multiformat, not as the title suggests, an 'arcade' magazine.

Read the Richard Leadbetter interview on the Mean Machines Archive mate. All will become clear.

Picked up a copy of Official Ps2 Magazine when I visited England in August (GDCE) - why do they have to fill it with page3-babes and breasts? I found it a bit cheap.

The state of the British magazine industry is so bad these days that even Garderner's World magazine has tits and arse in it.
