Can anyone tell me if getting a better scart lead can improve the picture quality by a whole lot or is it not worth it?

Better SCART cable than what? The SCART adaptor which comes with the Core and, I think, the Premium pack just gives a composite connection. To use that would be criminal with the XB360. The improvement of a fully wired RGB SCART over this IS significant.

My advice is to get the official one which comes as part of the Advanced AV pack in preference to anything else.

Low quality RGB SCARTS work fine but are usually poorly shielded against electrical/magnetic interference.

So the Advanced AV pack SCART lead would be of a higher quality than the original one packed with the 360? If so I'll order one now. Sucks not having a HDTV

I'm very tempted by Condemned and King Kong. I did want Quake 4, but framerate issues are putting me off. I'm also tempted to get Need for Speed Most Wanted, even tho I didn't like NFSU2 (I have no idea why i want it). Accessories wise, prob just a play and charge kit with a wireless pad.

Dead or Alive 4, Ridge Racer 6 and Ghost Recon 3 are all out around Feb, so I may save some cash until then. If I get five or six games now, some'll hardly get touched.
