      DVI-I being a connector that supports DVI-D and DVI-A.
      DVI-A = VGA, same thing.

I'm going for the VGA cable, plugging into the DVI-I port on my TV. Pure RGBHV input, and 1360x768 1:1 upscaled output
LG. Its DVI-I yeh, I didnt know it supported it fully then. So the cable I've got that converts the VGA side to DVI-I will work and I'll be able to do all the proper 1:1 upscaling etc!?

        Yep.

I've mentioned this before, but I use this cable to split the DVI-I into separate DVI-D and VGA ports, that way I still have a perfectly good HDCP-compliant DVI-D port free

Got my Dreamcast in there at the mo, gonna have to pick up a switcher I reckon.

Thats the exact cable I bought from that exact person!

Says "Your PayPal payment has been sent. Thank you. " when I go to that page since I've ordered before!

Good to know it works then, so in theory it should be better than component? And the VGA cable has optical out too so thats all the bases covered.

Dreamcast through VGA certainly looks better than any Component I've ever seen. I reckon there's not much in it mind... but I think the 360 only does the 1360x768 output mode though VGA anyway, though I may be wrong.

I prefer VGA to Component anyway, using RGBHV just makes more sense to me than YPrPb.

I'm looking to get my hands on:

              Premium Pack
              PGR3

Will probably be renting PDZ from GAME to see if it's any good.

I'd be interested to know the difference between the VGA and component piture too. To be honest, I hope they're pretty similar, seems a waste of money to have to buy an additional cable for the best quality.

For most people, it ain't worth it. I'm just anal.

On paper, RGBHV (used by VGA) would be superior quality to YPbPr (used by Component), because the source is rendered in RGB, which would have to be converted to YPbPr and back to RGB again when using a Component cable. A VGA cable would remove this process.
In reality, there's not much in it... but the VGA support on my TV seems to be of superior quality to the Component input.
Not sure if the 360 Component cable lets you choose resolutions like 1360x768.

Component is far more common on TV's than VGA.

VGA will be the optimal way to hook up the Xbox if you have a VGA capable screen then get the VGA cable.

                              I've changed my mind.

I'm only getting PGR3 now, and my second game will possibly be PDZ now. Maybe CoD2 but I think PDZ will give more playability.

And then I'll get Tiger Woods for Crimbo.
Maybe CoD2 (or PDZ), depending on which I get first of all and then I'll probably pick up Condemned and Kameo when there a tad cheaper maybe.

Dont wanna spend loads as I'm already skint right now.
