Call 'em and find out. You need to spend the points if they're still there, seriously, do this NOW. Call Microsoft and get the account blocked and get your Paypal account or any associated cards removed. They should be open 24 hours, really.

They're closed 'til 8am, some ****ing service that is. Can you recover the account, or spend the points on xbox.com?

If you can get into your billing information on xbox.com, try and remove the Paypal account

Ive removed my card and gifted over all my paypal money to a friend for now, i can get on xbox.com ive changed my hotmail and xbox.com password.But i have no idea on how to recover my account

Just go on your xbox and scroll across and I think "recover gamertag" or something is an option. If you're on xbox.com, just make sure you spend the points on XBLA games, it doesn't even matter what, just spend them before the hacker does.

You'd better, you didn't authorise it and if they can see the IP it was accessed from they'll see that, they should know your account was recovered too. You've been a victim of fraud, if they didn't agree to give your money back I'd take 'em to court tbh.

You might have to give up the stuff you download, but it doesn't matter. It's not a case of getting what you want, it's just that if you don't spend the points yourself you'll sit there and watch the hacker spend them in FIFA, and either way they get spent. Just that if you spend them first, the **** doesn't win.

Recovering my account on xbox, downloading profile it takes ages :S

Hope you get it sorted mate, you're the first person I know to be affected by this "hack".

And it just adds another reason to the pile of why I don't have any payment details attached to my profile, I use prepaid cards for everything.

Just phoned them they said they can open an investigation but I will be locked out from Xbox live for up to 25 days, I don’t know what to do after reading up on this on the internet it seems people who have suffered the same 6000 point scam have been locked out for about 2 weeks when starting an investigation. I was lucky enough to be online just after this happened and was able to stop the scammer from buying more points.

Shall I just leave it as is,ive spent the 6000 points ive changed all my passwords removed my credit card, the only thing remains is my linked paypal account with an auto renewal until 2013, Id rather have Xbox live the next few weeks and loose out on a few ? than be without it. Do you think there is any way I can be hacked again now ive changed all my passwords ?

Dude, good luck. Hope it all works out.
I'd go with the 2 weeks investigation - you've spent ?60 on games you weren't expecting to - if they don't investigate, they won't be able to put measures in place for the future.

I've just modified all my details apart from email address in the MS billing site, including changing the expiry date on my credit card. Will the latter prevent anyone from doing the same to me (even if they somehow guess my 20 digit password)?
(I always buy points in advance when I get the auto-renew email).
