It's got easily enough good games that I'd consider buying one, but just about all of them are things I'd rather play sat in front of the TV.

Something that will hopefully change the closer the ps3 gets, although thats still a way off the economics of developing for the psp may start to look more attractive.

the 4 games i have for it are very nice indeed,
but that few over a whole year has to be seen as a let down.
personally i couldnt care less about the whole multi-media spin on the thing, but it cant be denied its still a desirable object. and i certainly wouldnt bother selling it.

so i guess i'm neither pleased or dissapointed, just a bit apathetic towards it .....until something else comes out for it, and i'm sure the quality titles will keep trickling out, but unless your willing to let it sit untouched for months inbetween its not really worth it.

i sold my psp a few months ago through sheer boredom with it, the DS has much more to offer me at the moment... the psp has a lot of titles coming out for it but none of them really interest me much at all, if you are in the market for a portable GTA then it's obviously great but for me the fun factor is a bit lacking

With the right titles of course that could change and i will be lured back

This is what worries me though - what big titles are there to get worked up about? Aside from GnG (which won't shift units, I predict) and Lanstalker (ditto) what is there to look forward to? GT is up there I suppose, but again I'd rather play the home console version.

I've had mine since Euro launch day and have 5 games: GTA: LC, Ridge Racer, Virtua Tennis, Everyone's Golf & Lumines. I haven't even played on Lumines yet and have had it since Launch, I haven't touched it for over a month now.

I'm thinking about selling it to fund some more AAA DS Games.

                My feelings too.

I feel like digging up the thread where everyone spelled out doom and gloom for the DS! Man were so many of us wrong

I would predict that it would fade into the background for a while, then when dev costs of games for it come down and the cost of PSP manufacture (Possibly a hardware redesign), I can see it going through a cult revival. If Sony had any sense they would enable it to play Divx's etc. They dont think they are going to make a success of the UMD format do they???

its the same with movies watching them on the go just does not feel right

I prefer watching them at home on a decent tv with decent sound also i am very fond of the extras and stuff you get on dvds.

I agree about the games for the psp just feels like i am getting versions of games that are out for the ps2

Nintendo ds got it right with many games that are designed for a quick play

The PSP is a fantastic machine but it suffering from a lack of any new exclusive and creative games most can just be had on PS2 where they would look and play better.

PSP has been enjoying tremendous success this week in UK with 79.000 consoles sold. Who predicts disappointment for these guys in a year from now? Bring us games Sony!
                          *back to Mario Kart*

1 year on and I've got more titles for my 360 already.

The PSP is a great piece of kit, but the lack of decent (non-PS2 ports) is killing it for me.

I'm having trouble realising why any of you would think it 'wouldn't have just ps2 ports.?

its a portable playstation after all.

With the DS there seemed to be a constant flood of decent titles. However with the PSP, I've pretty much played all I wish to play on the machine and the releases have dried up. Meanwhile the DS is getting excellent stuff like Mario Kart, Princess Peach and Animal Crossing. And seeing the new Children of Mana screens this week just made things worse.

As this rate I shall be investing in another DS pretty soon I would imagine.
You should keep the PSP but invest in a Mario Kart Pack for only ?100 - playing that game is the most fun I have had for ages. It really is top notch and i'm yet to play online yet - please hurry up my Wi-Fi dongle from Canada!
