Got rid of mine for about ?200 in the summer and it went into my HDTV fund. Apart from wanting to play Lumines now and again I don't regret it. Maybe if I was someone who travelled alot I may have liked it alot more, but if I go out it's in my car so it was only getting used in my house where I'd rather play my consoles. I would have kept it had there been more 'new' games like on the DS, but I saw little point keeping it when most of the games were basically portable PS2 games. Might pick up a white one next year if the software situation improves, but I doubt I will.

psp? many things come to mind - disappointing, abysmal, overpriced, as was said previously a jack of all trades but excels in none. To be honest there are many reasons why the psp hasn't and will never be the success that sony and many others predicted. In the end the psp suffers from thinking that it is a ps2 when it so clearly can't be, not many people will pay out for watered down ps2 games especially when they are both more expensive and inferior. In doing this i believe the psp has yet to find its identity and thats why its suffering, the DS has its own identity thats why its successful, i think a lot of people have realised that the psp really just copied the ps2's passport and it trying to pass it off as its own.

I think its an awesome machine just lacking in software.

Ridge Racers is stunning, but probably the only game I play on the machine still along with Wipeout.

I play my DS more at the moment.

Disappointing. If there hadn't been so much quality software around this year to keep me occupied I'd have been moaning about it a lot more.

It started so well - Lumines & Ridge Racers blew me away then along came Wipeout & Mercury both of which impressed - The homebrew stuff was nice.

Then - nothing. I've got GTA now and upgraded from 1.5 for the privelidge but any time I think of using the PSP it's only to play that - It might as well have been a standalone GTA machine for ?150 !!!

I see absolutely nothing on the horizon to tempt me - I think the best thing Sony can do is discount the software to a more attractive price (?19.99 say) to tempt me to take a chance on more PS2-lite software.

Another user who is disappointed. I stuck to the PSP since I emigrated from the UK to Hong Kong and wouldn't have any consoles for a while. There are loads of games available, but I'm honestly not interested in many of them at all. I've picked up a DS and that has been a fantastic machine, with a steady supply of games that do look good and offer something different to ports over and over.

Is piracy gonna kill the PSP I wonder? The good games are few and far between, then again there are those who bought it to look trendy too, it'll prolly be an ipod where nothing it does can do Sony any harm . . .

How much are Sony losing for each PSP, if anything and @Kernow, who the **** is that as your avatar, it looks SO familiar yet so vague to me!

Frank Sidebottom innit? I was always convinced he was Mark Radcliffe wearing a paper mache head.

Had mine since about December 20th last year when it arrived with Lumines & Ridge Racers. It was basically out of use by Feb apart from toying with a little homebrew game of mine for a week or two when the first hello world code came out it's been sat in it's pouch doing nothing

I've however just ordered my first game since getting it - Wipeout Pure. Hopefully that'll squeeze out the boredom of Christmas.

I guess overall it's a bit disapointing, there's really only a trickle of games that I find interesting but still, I don't think a slow first year is that uncommon. I still expect enough from it to hold my interest but only if there's plenty of original content.

That first pic doesn't prove it's not Mark Radcliffe - he might have got a body double for the photo shoot.

Anyway, I know who he is but I don't know WHAT he is.. I vaguely remember him being on telly when I was a kid, about as clearly as I remember Pob's programme... but where did he come from and what does he do? Is he a Man City mascot or something?
