Just sorted mine out last night - chappy wasn't bothered about Paypal fees so that gift code covered my shipping costs. V. pleased. Hopefully should have it soon.

Why is postage from Germany so cheap? It costs me at least ?16 to send anything less than a kg (within the UK) by courier from work. Stuff that's 2kg and up (as I assume the Premium pack must be) would be like ?25-30+.

The 360 is 8.5kg So will cost around a tenner by standard parcel over here.

Sending a Gamecube last month to France cost me ?25 alone via ParcelForce, shows what a RipOff our couriers are.

The Royal Mail is such a rip-off. I have a package stuck in the UK, because it would cost well over ?25 to get it shipped. Great stuff... since the package is only worth a tenner! There's no chance I'm paying more than double the value of the parcel just for the shipping.

I've emailed my seller but heard nothing back yet. Sounds like they want to move the money to a bank account to avoid chargebacks? Don't paypal just issue an invoice for a chargeback if the money isn't there anyway?

Will probably have to use the threat of neutral or neg feedback if he won't budge, I've done everything he's asked and I think it's out of order forcing extra conditions like that after payment has been made.

Sounds dodgy to me mate, once its in his bank and away from paypal there isnt alot they can do. So idpush him to sned now or you could end up with no money and no xbox.

I think the seller is sound, he has 600+ feedback at about 99.6 positive and it's covered by the Paypal protection scheme. I think he's worried that I'm going to scam him out of the xbox, but I still think he's being uncooperative given that I've done everything asked. I'll just have to keep the pressure on.

Even if there is no money in his Paypal account, a chargeback can still be made and his account will go into negative balance, so your still protected in case something goes wrong. Although he shouldve sent it as soon as money is in the account, as it takes around 5-7 days to go into his bank account.

Sounds a bit crap really. What makes this different from your usual wham-bam-instant dispatch Paypal transaction? If he holds it back for a week then I'd leave a negative once you receive it.

Probably cos its a high value item and the seller is afraid of losing the money, but either way, he shouldve sent it. OR he doesnt have the item and wants to use the buyers cash to buy it and then send it out

Most German sellers are like this i wouldnt be to worried i buy alot of model cars from germany and pay over 500 euros at a time never been ripped off yet, its only a few days so just stay cool and wait its not like there saying you have to wait a month only a few days.

I can understand what you're saying, but they should be up front about this. I didn't see anything on the auction or payment options saying that he would do this, and I don't think he would have told me at all if I hadn't emailed him after reading this thread. Like a lot of people here I've ordered stuff from the US, Japan and Europe and this is the first time anyone has told me they would not ship a paid-for item for 5 days unless they didn't have it in stock.

I can accept the delay but it's not like I have much choice, which is what annoys me, he sprung it on me after he'd taken my money. I don't think I can leave good feedback because he's plainly only thinking of himself and not the buyer at the other end.
