Quake 4 Demo now on XBL!

Me again, just another heads up!

I know it's unlikely, but does it have any form of an online mode in the demo? That'd be the only thing I'd probably buy it for. (At girlfriends tonight and then go away for new year tomorrow so I can't download it for a few days, posting this from my damn PSP)

I downloaded this last night and can confirm it DOES have online play in the demo. There's about three different modes but you can't change the spec. At least it's got deathmatch though

But sadly the graphics are worse than my PC does the game (xp2800, 1gig, radeon 9800pro). Bit disappointed tbh

I grabbed this last night and wow, what a stinker.

Frame rate is all over the place and the visuals are barely better than Xbox 1 standard.

Really? Damn, and the PC one looks so stunning too. Ill give this a try later on.

Retail Quake 4 is only worth bothering with because of the included Quake 2 port, with 4-player split screen multiplayer.

You think so? I was very unimpressed by Q4 on the PC too. It has a much, much better frame rate than the 360 version (depending on your PC hardware of course), but it's the same generic game with blurry textures and super low res geometry.

Kotatsu is right. It's boring as hell. Single player its as by the numbers an FPS as you will find.

I've said this before, but even with all the critisism that gets thrown at PDZ, it's still infinitely more interesting than the generic FPS's we see released today, and Quake 4 is a prime example of this.

Quake 4 is actually somewhat fun on Live IMO, but as a single player it's one of the most boring games I've ever played.

Frame Rate hits wasn't that bad imo (even better when online for some strange reason) but the graphics look hardly any better than DOOM 3 onthe X-Box. Its impressive in parts , but nothing what one would expect from a 360 game.

Fun game online , single player sucks . So gald I didn't get this game

I really didn't think the port was that bad... the port looks like the PC game, the framerate is certainly jumpier than it should be, but not terrible.

Doesn't change the game itself from being boring tripe though.

I liked it. As far as by-the-numbers FPSs go it's the best out there.
