You sent it back due to one game? You not test it on anything else?

Was in a bit of a rush, was going away for a few days so thought I'd change it and have my new one for when I got back.

All I can say is "Wow!" First off, the graphics are amazing. This is, without a doubt, the best looking game I have ever seen. The skin textures are so realistic that I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking the game was real life footage if they just happened upon it. And the sweat! I think sweat will be this generation's lens flare. The boxing ring looks great, and the spectators around it are hazy but perfectly so. The animations are nice as well. The only real visual problem are clipping issues, but I suspect those will be fixed up come time for launch.

There really isn't any music to speak of save for the main menu, but that one song is great. As for the sound effects, they suffice, but I'd like a bit more punch to them (pardon the pun). The commentary track needs some additions as well. All told, nice, but nothing extraordinary.

As for the game itself, it's a touch on the slow side, but once I got used to it I played bout after bout, learning the sweet science of it all. There are some hit detection problems too, but nothing too major.

In all, I really love this demo. The visuals are the best I've ever seen, the sound is servicable, and the gameplay is good. Everything points to a great game. I can't wait to pick it up used.

It looks good at first, but after a while the dodgy animation starts to grind - and it still looks a hell of a lot worse than that supposed "PS3" version :P

I managed 4 knockdowns by round 3, then the ****er just couldn't get up, his legs were all over the place! Bernard Hopkins kicks ass!!

The gameplay also seems to require a degree of skill which is why I would love to give this a shot on live..beating a mate on this would be amazing. Roll on Feb/March!
Feb/March? Are you sure? On the end screen of the demo it says winter 06!

Which is winter, Jan and Feb are anyway. Thats what I mentioned earlier anyway, does it mean now within the next month or two or winter in December which is ages away! Hope its sooner rather than later!

I got 7 knockdowns against my mate until I won, was unbelievable how he kept getting up!!

7?!! FFS Rosco, in the original one i could barely get up once, is the system of getting up still the same when you had to align the refs face?

Nope, I never played it but my mate was explaining it to me. Nothing like that, the guy just keeps getting up as long as the timer doesnt hit 10 obviously. I'm not even sure if bashing the buttons or not make a difference!?

Not in the demo at least - dunno if they're removing that as you also don't get the mini-games mid round for patching cuts & reducing swelling.

                                Could be the demo-status though.

Still my most anticipated - See you all on LIVE real soon. 8)
