"Spiderman's cool! Spiderman can help us sell PlayStation 3! You - mock up a logo, actually just use the Spiderman font. You - get Spiderman in a Gran Turismo trailer. Oh yes"

I misread all that. Thought it was a GT4 trailer. Just watched it. Thought wtf. Now come back to this thread to find out it's a PS3 trailer. Really WTF.

I really do not like sonys adverts.

They make no sense and do not really make the items they are selling seem a must have item.
like with the PSP no game footage and only one quick pic of the console

Burgers at Wendys are only 99cent?!!

Edit: Just watched it and what a load of ****. When he said 'Dont play in the streets' sounded to me like he said 'Buy the PS3'.

          Go Spidey.

I don't know who spidey's agent is but getting him involved in promotions like that can't be good for his image!

Man, that is weird... I guess they're getting at the blurring of reliaties between film and game huh? Anyway, Vision GT does run on 'PS2' hardware at the time of the demo. It was a kind of tech demo with 24 cars, IIRC. A sign of things to come or something like that

Sadly its that school of thought in advertising circles that you dont have to show the product, just "coolness" and stylish/highbrow wanking, and then slap up the brand name. There must be a proper term for it, "value-added product synergisation" or some such... but yeah i blame Satchi from the 80s.

Anyone remember the John Cleese ads in black and white with the horse? "I am you, and you are me; and we are the both of us"?! WTF moment from a couple of decades agos.

                    my WTF moment:

the very-more-than-welcoming reaction that the killzone 2 video recieved

it's like people completely forgot that the first game was certainly underwhelming, and that sony have played this trick before, once they were dazzled by some pretty visuals

or is history always meant to repeat itself?
