I'm on the brink of throwing out my MGS premium set. The T-shirt got worn to tatters, the poster is framed in my back room, the stickers are on my memory cards.. all it is now is the dog-tags and postcards in a box. The box isn't pristine so may as well be binned I guess.) MGS2 copy.
Bit of a shame really.

My GF loved GHS so much we started hunting down DVDs of the original animations and they got a US release in English language - odd that the game didn't, but given its style and (lack of) sales hardly surprising. There are copies going on ebay for 99p people - buy buy buy!
Something else I think will become very valuable, because it's already worth ?20 - ?30, is the Zelda Collectors Edition promo disc that came with certain GameCube bundles. It has both zelda games from the NES and N64 (although Majora's Mask apparently crashes regularly, probably something to do with Expansion Pak emulation).

Modern price nuts bid mode: Pokemon Box US release. As it was only available from the Pokemon website or the shop in NY, and both have now stopped selling it, has meant the price has gone from $20 new to over $120 on eBay. Wish I'd bought more than the one I own!
There haven't been any copies on eBay in at least 3 weeks so the next one to appear might go for even stupider amounts of money.Lie with passion and be forever damned...

The Wanda to Kyozou Box Set will be worth loads in a year or two as it was part of a promotion. I bought it for ?100 and that was a release price. Don't own it anymore though, i sold it to NTSC member Buster_Broon, he's very happy with it.I still sometimes get members on here sending me PM's asking me where i got it from.
Also, Syndicate Wars (US Version) on the PS1 is a fecking nightmare to get now as well as Einhander.Last edited by the_dude; 23-02-2006, 21:46.

Buying games simply as an investment isn't the cleverest thing to do. Buy the games that you like and if they increase in price - bonus! Anyhow there are far too many factors that can drag down the price of a game such as reprints and releases on other platforms. The stuff that will be worth money will be relatively scarce, of a high quality and have popular sequels.
Gregory Horror Show won't be worth much down the line - it's far too common.
If you really wanted to make off like a bandit you should have purchased every copy of Dragon Warrior VII you could get your hands on prior to the release of it's sequel. The price of a used copy on eBay UK is now twice what it was last Summer. Expect the price to rise even further after the UK release of the sequel.

Wordimagesoundplay (PS2 JP only) may be worth something in the future due to its uniqueness and the very small production run it had.
Strangely enough Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (DS) is rapidly gaining value in Australia, as only a handful of copies were distributed here. Copies are fetching $150 already.
