Is it too early to start thinking about PS3 preordering?

Considering I still don't have a 360, it may be a while before I get my greedy little mitts on a PS3. However, if DMC4 is announced for a launch release, that plan may well change.

Lik-Sang and Play Asia. They stick you in a queue and when the price is announced if you still want to pay, you keep your place in the queue.

Why don't play-asia sell PSP products to the UK?

They're taking preorders? They don't advertise it or anything......

Many Gamestop stores in the US have been taking PS3 pre-orders for a while now as well.

Seriously? Are they estimating a price?

Stores cannot take pre orders in Britain until either
                    a) a price is announced
                    or
                    b) a date is announced.
all the 'pre orders' of PS3's and revolutions will in fact be 'Pre Interest', which is just a way of getting loads of peoples names on file to phone when the details come in. It does not secure a console.

The second you can preorder one, do it. Otherwise you will be in for a long wait.

                        Fixed.

The pre-interest thing is the same as a pre-order, since I'm a regular at GS and they know me lah lah lah, and know I'll put the money down straight away.

                            A date has been announced.

After the 360 madness, I can see 75% of the UK's allocation being on ebay come launch time.

Wonder if Sony will do the same as with the PSP though and crack down on PA etc shipping PS3's to Europe ?
Sony can go and play with the rake! A US shipping agent will solve all your worries
