Every time a German I was playing against on Burnout 3 would get a takedown he would shout 'TAKEDOOOOOOWWWWNNNNN' <imagine it in a German accent>.

Which sounds admittedly very boring when I type it. It was more amusing in the middle of a race with the Swiss guy saying, every 5 secs, "No, I emm Swizz.""No, I emm Swizz."

Anyway, funniest for me was Burnout 3, when the game first came out me and my friends Luminous Dog & Grooselog were playing against some stuck up private school boy who was losing so much he gave up, anyway we directed him to my now defunct website which had this picture of the Grooselog on the main page, his reaction when he clicked it was hilarious. Also, some odd German guy once desperatly trying to convince me & another friend he was not gay.Last edited by Flompy; 25-03-2006, 21:23.

I don't get the whole confusion between English and Australian accents. They sound nothing alike but even when I've actually been in the States I've been asked if I'm from Australia. Indeed the American education system is dreadful from what I've heard.
And the number of ****ing times I've been told by Americans online about speaking English. Jesus...
Just remembered one of my favourites in Halo 2, when there was an American kid who kept continually screaming whenever anyone from the other team came near him. I was put in the opposite team and he was trying to fly a banshee down to run me over but I kept dodging him which started him screaming even more, and when I eventually managed to climb on and jack it from him he started shouting about cheating and demanding that someone get me off him.Last edited by NekoFever; 27-03-2006, 20:50.

When my girlfriend was younger, her family moved from New Zealand to the USA for a few years, and the school she went to put her in the "special unit" for non-english speakers. Her form stated her country, but the teachers didnt know (and didnt bother checking) where/what NZ is. So as she sat surrounded by Mexicans, Chinese and rednecks she had to ask in perfect English if she was in the right place? The teachers were a bit confused, but she couldnt be moved for a couple of weeks till it filtered thru the system she could in fact speak English... Usually having to state so face-to-face to disbelieving administrative types. Rock on!

It's not just Americans though, when I worked at HMV in London some English woman asked me how long I had been in the country.
"Alll my life" I replied, "I'm from Yorkshire."

I've been taught some Dutch swearwords, been called an australian, but the most disturbing has to be some american guy on DOA Ultimate saying weeeiiird stuff like "Man, don't these girls look hot? Ohhhhhhhh they make me so hot, I love the sexy outfits, do you think they're hot?"
I proceeded to finish the round and leave. Quickly.
