I like all the 'big' series games (ie. Zelda, Resi, Gradius etc. etc.) but I'm going to have to add the Tony Hawk's games - simply for delivering a brilliantly playable game EVERY time. I don't care if they're a bit repetitive and 'flappy' in terms of structure/level design, these games rarely get the respect they deserve.

Another vote for Syphon Filter. I'm playing the new one on the PSP at the moment and it's superb. Metal Gear, Resident Evil, Zelda and Metroid all get the juices flowing for me as well.

anyway, it's my favourite gaming franchise, followed closely by MGS and Biohazard/RE.

Ah, forgot about Crash Bandicoot as well. The last ones are supposedly quite ... ****, but the first three were ace, and Crash Team Racing is still the best kart racer ever. Yes, better than Mario Kart.

Mario for its consistent greatness (the core games anyway), Shenmue for being the best adventure and Zelda for being so damn fun despite using the same game mechanics every single time.

The Final Fantasy sequels are always a highlight, of course the silent hills and biohazards are highlights too, i always look forward to new versions of these games.

To tell you the truth anything quirky to be released on the DS at the moments as that in my mind is gaming inovation, and re-lights my fire for gaming. Its such a well thought out piece of kit. Playability is everything on that lil handheld!
