Oh, gah. Thought it was different from the old tenchu demo. doh.

I just had a play with this now and it's easily one of the most technically backward 360 games so far. No pixel shaders at all, horrible quality over compressed 16-bit colour lightmaps, no facial animation at all on the characters (so they speak with their mouths shut!), low res textures everywhere and PS1 quality water effects.

After FROM did such nice things on Xbox 1 with the Otogi games this is inexcusable.

Yeah, I suspect you may be right but I can't get past the second level on insane as you only get one life.

co op insane is where its at on aegis wing
fun little shooter free which is always good and well worth the little extra hassle you have to get it

Definitely - I was amazed how much extra depth has been added to the game in multiplayer.

Totally kicks the single player in to touch and is like a whole new game.

Get a second controller, play a local multiplayer game - attach the second ship to the first and play that way... makes your power ups more effective and you should be able to get 185,000 before end of Level 5.

Good tip with the extra pad. Seems to be a few games you can get achievements / better results using the extra pad trick. Like NHL 07 - you can get all the achievements in 2 player games without even touching the 2nd pad. Bonkers

I've only done Superman Returns / Jetpac Refuelled ... submitted an Aegis Wing one though.

Had a great 4 player game of Aegis Wing last night, 4 player co-op, more like 4 player versus, come the last level we were all trying to out-do each other - to get the 100,000 points achievement, one guy got it, I ended up on 99,050 and the other two were 97,xxx I think. Good game though

I can't seem to get the 10,000 points while attached to another craft achievement though, on level one, started local muliplayer, joined ships up straight away and up end scoring about 12,000 points - am thinking you need 10,000 from the level (not including your defeating the boss bonus)

Has anyone here completed Insane ? boy it's tough once you get to about Level 3

Best way to get the 10,000 points while attached to another ship achievement is start a 2 player co-op game and ask your teammate to attach to your ship but not to fire. By the end of the first level you should have your achievement and your teammate should have his 'diplomat' achievement for completing a level without firing.

Regarding insane, I beat it over the weekend in a 2 player co-op game despite my teammate being really poor at the game. It's odd but I actually find it easier with 2 players as when there are 4 ships flying all over the screen I often lose track of where I am and end up flying into an enemy.

yeah done exactly that a couple of times, and no joy - 2nd player has got the diplomat and immortal achievements, will give it another go tonight, cheers.

Just read your Aegis Wing one... how about for achievements 1/2/3 where you attach the 2nd ship to you in a local co-op.... how about pausing it after your attach and whacking an elastic band around the 2nd pad (or propping it in some way) so that it's always firing in some direction? can't hurt?
