Yep apparently a few bugs where found a bit before it was due to be released and they delayed it to iron them out

I just stuck Strangers wrath in the off chance that there has been an update for it, stuck it in and low and behold an update was available, yay i thorght they finally did it. Did the update, console restted itself but the game still didnt work .

has anyone else had this happen?

The first time you put an Xbox1 disc in when an update is available, it'll run the available update - that doesn't mean the game is supported in the update that gets installed.

thats the thing, ive updated all the other xbox 1 games i own with all the latest available.

The updates don't install one game at a time, it's an update for the whole BC thing in one go - there was apparently an update today that's been pushed out without telling people about it, probably a bug fix rather than a new listing.

Does anyone know if you delete your saves on games like Oblivion (rather than the actual save shell) in the dashboard means you lose the patch updates?

I don't think so, most patches are stored in the HDD cache somewhere and can only be deleted by doing that secret button press combo that was discovered a few weeks ago.

DOa4 on the other hand has a separate patch file in its game save, you can view it by selecting it in the memory.

Most games store it in the cache though

For sure - Really looking forward to this it's my favourite EA Sports brand. The graphics were pretty tasty I thought but yeah pity you don't get a feel for the game proper.
