800 pts it is an insta-buy I agree.
If 800 is an instabuy, then wait and see what Scrap Metal is like next week. If it's excellent (and assuming you're going to get Perfect Dark which sounds like a no brainer) then getting all three will save you 400 points (and get you a month free on Line which is worth about 300 points).

hasn't the app store taught people that price it cheap you flog more, I'm sure this would do amazingly at 800 but a lot will be put off at more.
Cheaper means you sell more, but reducing the price to 800 would require 50% more sales to break even. If you look at the App store stop grossing chart, it's often the more expensive titles at the top. The Tom Tom app has been consistently in the top three for months despite costing ?60.

i coughed the points and enjoying Toy Soldiers, did some local 2 player and didn't have a clue what was going on though.

Won't be getting Perfect Dark as I can't stand fps games, never my thing.

tried scrap metal, dunno what constitutes a 1200pt game over an 800pt one but it sure aint size,a small 133mb.

got to be one of the most hideous control systems for steering i've used in long time, deleted within 5 mins for me I'm afraid

                  My thoughts entirely.

Downloaded the trial. Played for a few minutes and then deleted it. How this is the same price as Toy Soldiers is beyond me. The level of detail between the 2 are miles apart.

Did you try the advanced controls, or just the simple ones that's mapped to the analogue stick? I didn't have a problem with the advanced controls, plays like any other racer.

This. Didn't have any issue with the controls at all.

The controls are fine on advanced setting. The choice isn't even hidden away in a menu, it came up in the tutorial for me.

I like it. It's quite derivative of Circuit Breakers and Mashed, but the upgrade system is nice and the humour is well judged.

I really liked it too and will be buying it later.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the controls, It plays like Championship Sprint/Super Skidmarks.

maybe i was a bit hasty then, will try again on the advanced settings and reserve my judgement as i always liked those old Ivan Stewart games

800pts for Perfect Dark is the best bargain I've had since weighing in three packs of chicken breasts as potatoes at the Tesco self-service checkout.
