lol tut tut tut. So, in theory, you could (if you have a PS3 as well) download it from PSN, save it to a memory card/usb stick. Then load it from a usb stick onto the 360 and use it as the wallpaper, for free? I should post that on HotUkDeals or something...

They did the same thing with the Super Puzzle Fighter themes last week. There was four free of charge on PSN and three on Live but all chargeable...
With any luck they will consider making them free on Live sometime. I don't think I'd pay for one but I have quite a few of the free Live themes!

I'm potentially goin to be pissed off 2K.
Why might I be pissed off?
Because of this: (SOURCE: Eurogamer)
Delving deeper into the alien-like literature and you'll find all sorts of not yet implemented (our tech chap says "commented out") powers. There's Electric Bold Zero, Life Drain, Telekinesis Two and Revival.
If it turns out that Bioshock has functionality disabled that you need to pay to unlock, this goes against everything that I thought the XBLive service should be.
I will pay money for Devs to code new levels and weapons. (GRAW/Crackdown/Vegas etc)
I will NOT be paying for something that the game has when shipped, to be "unlocked" That it is totally out of order.
That said, if these comments are just place holders, and the devs need to code new plasmids to fill them, then OK. But I have a feeling that publishers are looking XBL as a cash cow, and purposly holding back content, so they may trickle it out and raise the price of the game.
That pisses me off.

Not just get extra cash for the work they have already done...
I may be out on a limb here.

Well there was one developer, I can't remember who it was but I think it was on Gears of War, who said in an interview with Major Nelson that they had done loads of maps but some would be released as DLC instead of being in the final game.
It would be nice if they did do what you say though, and used it to fund development after the product had shipped. But I suspect that in a lot of cases the development is done prior to shipping and released later.
Bioshock would appear to take it to the next level though.

I don't see it as a problem either way, it may seem more irritating holding back content to be unlocked on disc, but in reality the other option is that they hold it back in the devs office then make you download it to your HDD.
Either way you are paying the the same things, DLC is now all part of the development cycle of a game, they won't just ship the game THEN decide to make the DLC it will of all been planned at some point.

It also only covers DLC for game content, not themes and such like.
