A couple of news tidbits to come out of that event:

Not an April Fool after all and even Snake has an iPod. Both seem a little out of place (If quite cool), but they're understandable given the monies they need to make for the game to turn a profit.

Can't think of a game that needs custom soundtracks less than MGS to be honest. :/

I did watch all the media - and while I have a pang of regret about the final theatrical trailer I have to say that this has convinced me to take some time off work to play this - havent done that since HL2 came out but here we go. Now hopefully play.com will actually deliver on day1

Why would they put the Assassins Creed costume in the full version?

Seems odd to associate themselves with a game that was a bit on the crap side.

As far as I understand - Kojima was very impressed (as were a lot of us - backed up by strong sales) with AC as the first western game to bring the steath genre to next gen (and in a radically different way to MGS). Only way I could describe it is if Gorden Freeman was a cameo in Gears of War2 or something like that.

It was featured in their trailer as an April fools only I though? Anyway, if it is in the final game; it's quite a cool looking costume and is rather amusing to watch Snake fight out his last few days in eagle costume.

And besides, even if Assasins Creed was a bit of a let down (I still thoroughly enjoyed it); you don't have to have an amazing A++ title to add a cool feature from their game into yours.

yeh they annouced there was gonna be bundles but nothing compared to what JAP and US get. Think just a 40gb with 6axis + MGS4 but cant seem to find the link atm

don't care much about the finish of the PS3, but about the price point and the hopefully included DualShock3
