Oh maaaaaaannnnnnuh!!!! Why did you have to post that!?

You don't know how hard it is for me to not look at that.

Oh yeah! And what did I say Nintendo should have done with Wii Sports as soon as I saw the first screen? This is going to feel like getting a NES with Super Mario and Duck Hunt all over again. 'in-pak' Duck Hunt would have been nice too, they could have used it as a wand calibration tool should one be required.

Does anyone else think there is going to be a massive demand for Cube classics that have gone by mainly unnoticed? Imagine all the class people are gonna be able to get for a tenner down Gamestation. Metroid, F-Zero, Pikmin etc.

I have to say I'm feeling pessimistic - but let's hope Nintendo have a nice suprise in store for 12pm.
Already getting import jitters... I never regretted importing a GameCube as I had all the games months earlier and cheaper than the uk, but the online element and points system is a bit worrying with the Wii.

It's not like there famous for doing that now are they

Anyone know how the channels will be affected on an imported machine. I don't want to get constant tornado warnings, because the machine thinks I'm in Kansas

            BTW I'm going with ?174.95 !

It's never been an issue for people with imported Xboxs, 360s, PSPs, DSs, why would it be a problem now?

At the worst, if you buy a US machine you will need to buy US points for VC downloads and for the online gaming subscription (assuming it's not free).
Points will be available from retail so I'm sure VG+ etc. will stock them.

Seriously, I doubt anyone has anything to worry about

I'm with Simmy. ?175 is what I think a PAL Wii will cost. Of course, I'd prefer if to cost 50p with 4 free games, but I'm a realist.

(As evidence of my price prediction, a US Core 360 was $299 at launch and ?209 over here. Applying the same conversion factor to a US Wii at $250 and you get ?174.75. For those who still take US prices and divide by the current exchange rate -US list prices don't include tax. Bottom line, if the US machine costs $250, ?175 is not a rip off. Given that the current exchange rate is currently very much in our favour (and likely to drop) and that prices must be set for a long period (i.e. they don't want to keep fluctuating with every exchange rate blip), ?175 is quite fair. Those who are saying ?120 or ?140 are dreaming.)
