Everything is full of love at Consolevania Towers these days.

Isn?t the world just full of negativity? Every corner of the internet seems to be pissing and moaning about something. People are even moaning about the Wii being 30 quid more expensive than expected. How miserable do you have to be?

Maybe it?s because most of us at Consolevania are hovering near that 30 years old mark. Maybe it?s because we?ve got enough years behind us now to get our priorities straight. Maybe it?s because the season finale of series 2 of Consolevania is looking like it?s going to be a very personal, very special, totally unique little thing. I mean, it?s taking forever, but it?s worth it!

Here?s the thing - How can you enjoy whining on the internet when there are things like friendship and beer and curry and computer games?

Obivously the Wii won't start off with all titles from nes,snes and N64. And it may take awhile for all the third party games to come out. Not forgetting to mention you'll have to pay for each one............Compared to the big box, which is although big and ugly, contains every game made from the nes,snes and n64 and many other consoles.....for Free...

Can the gamecube controller be used instead of the classic controller for the old games?

Regarding N64 games and stuff like that, will they be exactly as they were, untouched games? As it will be rotten playing them all on an HDTV, will just look fugly.

I was never a fan of 3D games at that stage - the graphical power just wasn't there. Look how badly they've dated compared to the best 2D games.

See! Its true, your eyes will probably bleed from playing N64 games on an HDTV if its unoptimised! Only time will tell, though I dont see them doing anything to them, since its a push to even get 480p on normal Wii games.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo said at some point that all the downloadable games would be in 480p.

It really is hard to believe that though, considering what I said above, that not even all Wii games are confirmed to be 480p. Plus none/hardly any of the games will be 16:9 which will be annoying too!

That was the one thing that stuck out when I dug my N64 out recently. I was just playing it through a 32" CRT and I have to say I was pretty shocked. Time hasn't been kind to the graphics!

There's almost no excuse for them not being. I think it was only a handful of Mega Drive games that relied on interlacing tricks to draw graphics and even then when playing them progressive the errors are barely even noticeable.
