how I regret now that I didn't make a reservation !! seems that before 2007 I won't be able to get my hands on a Wii......

Shops keepers keep telling me they never experienced anything like this, they get phonecalles all day from people trying to get their hands on a Wii.....

I had two updates last night - all went fine (if slowly). Shop worked fine - bought some points and Bonk. Sent myself a mail at work which came through fine.

I'm hearing some things on other forums about the servers not working properly this morning. Anyone else heard this?

Looks like the going rate on eBay for the console pack alone is ?300-?400.

With just a few jokers in the pack, like this one

I got an email from Nintendo saying that you WILL be able to use your stars to buy VC points (probably at an exorbitant rate but hey something for nothing is always welcome). They haven't set this feature up yet though and the website won't accept any of my Wii stars codes, so I guess we'll have to wait until they get it all working.

Most shops here appeared to be sold out also "preorder only" was what I was told (was checking round for a pal)

Kind of glad I never went to the roadshow thingy as the experience has been a revelation and - would you believe it - It actually looks more than bareable on my 40" LCD through compo****e - Selix get in about that Zelda

I did it as soon as I got home and mine's fine. You can't use any of the internet functions without doing it as it's part of the setup process.

It ain't that bad on my 42" plasma either tbh, holding out for the component lead before venturing into Zelda though.

Already sporting a Wii-related injury after the missus caught me with the Wiimote playing Baseball.

www.nintendovip.com accepted my Zelda pin code yesterday whereas it wouldn't on Monday of this week. I've yet to try the actual Wii code

Just a few minutes. Only thing that bothered me was that when it had finished, it rebooted and entered an internet setup that started a second update, which thankfully was a bit shorter.

I just remembered the old email and password i had for my Nintendo VIP account, i have 2,550 points still in there so i hope a game will be around that amount

Does the Wii come with a VIP card aswell as Zelda?
