Well I think it's going to have to be PAL for now, until a region-switched, RGB-capable Wii comes along.

As I recall, the UK Gamecube SCART cable wouldn't work with an NTSC cube. I can imagine the same thing again this time around.

Yeah it's a cliche, just like trotting out the obvious argument that just because its suitable for kids doesn't mean it is no fun for adults. So why bother being so miserable - just because you are dead inside doesn't mean all of us are. ;-)

Strangely enough, the older I get the more Nintendo party games seem appeal (running about and blowing stuff up has lost much of it shine). Perhaps the teenager in me has finally died and i've begun to rediscover my inner child - either that or it's the start of a mid life crysis

I'm looking forward to inviting friends round to drink a few beers and bounce around like tits playing Wii Sports.

I don't think i'm "dead inside" as you put it, more like grown up and want something deeper from my games. That's all.

Better than discovering yourself in the inner of a child.

Another magical contribution to a wii/DS thread from the dude there.

Funny enough, I think the concept of the Mii channel is a brilliant idea. Your own little personal avatar. Why is it any more 'childish' than naming yourself after a film character and having a picture of him appear next to every post?

I don't think so, i'm just telling it like it is, from my own point of view. Man, you can't talk about the negative side of a company without someone calling you a troll, or fanboy.

If you want it all flowers and cherry's go to Nintendo.com.

The thing is you knew it'd wind people up. And the Weemee's on msn were quite popular for a while with adults and kids. I don't see how creating a quick self image of yourself for use in games is any more kiddy than getting an avatar of a game or something and making yourself a username to play online with. Adults will love Mii channel as much as kids.
