Basically ima get all 3, like a good few peeps here, we back all the horses, we dont discriminate, lol!

Ill probably pick up a 360 this xmas, a PS3 next summer when i go to Japan/Hong Kong and a Wii sometime after that. I dont need to get it at launch cos, id rather get it later then snap up a load of older titles when they go down in price.

The PS3 and Wii will HAVE to be Jap of course, jus the way i like it. The 360 will HAVE to be Pal, so i can finally enjoy live and get cheap games in the games sales. The 360 is a western console so will be easier to by for here as a result. Where as PS3 and Wii are japanese in origin so they will be getting a lot of obscure games that jus might not make it here at all.

I'm going for a Wii*, because it's new and interesting, for the virtual console, and also because it's going ot be in my price range. I'm sorry, but the thought of spending £430-odd for a PS3 (or even £280 for a 360) seems a little hard to swallow on so many levels, moral as well as financial.

Besides which, I couldn't give a rat's ass about HDTV, Blu-Ray, multimedia, online, all that jazz. I just want to play games, so why pay for all that extra stuff I don't even want?

These considerations aside, the DS is really going from strength to strength now, and the Wii seems to me to be heading in the same direction, from a software and gameplay point of view. I really can't wait.

*I didn't mean it that way, honestly. It just sort of slipped out

Got a 360, will definately be picking up a Wii asap, but unless I get some unforseen finacial boost in the next few months the PS3 can wait a good while.

I have a 360 already although I'm thinking of selling it as the game lineup isn't really doing much for me.

I'll get a Wiiiiiiii on launch (possibly an American one) I just hope Nintendo europe make a really good effort this time around.

Got my 360, and will probably buy a US Wii on launch. PS3 MIGHT be bought on launch day, but I'm still undecided as to whether to give Sony my money. I need to see DMC4 and MGS4 to make some sort of judgement.

Does anyone even know if they'll allow you to connect to the Virtual Console etc with an imported console?

360 - probably around the anticipated price drop when ps3 lauches. I envisage theyll be quite a few enticing christmas bundles to choose from.

Wii - definetly on launch. First console ever infact. Never have i been so enticed by a console.

PS3 - forget it for a long time. Just more of the same by the looks of things. I ve stil got dm3 and vf4 evo to play before i even think about 4 and 5 respectively. The majority of games i play on ps2 are shooters and fighters anyway and judging by sony's past record, theyll continue ps2 support a long way into ps3's life and i'll be happy with teh odd shooter and fighter leaking out every few months or so.

In the interim, finish my other collections (sat, dc, aes, xbox, ps1 +2), broad but modest on each console,

Oh and play the bleedin' games.

I don't see why not, seeing as Microsoft already do it with LIVE regardless of the region.

                      Have a 360 already.
Will get a Wii on launch day in the UK without a shadow of a doubt. Not so sure about PS3 at the moment due to the price and potential cost of software. Then again I wasnt going to get a PSP at launch and I did although my DS takes up all my time at the moment. Hopefully the Wii is going to get Nintendo back on track in the home console market in this country.

I have a Japanese Xbox 360 and I'll be sticking with that for the forseable future. The PS3 doesn't seem like much (if any of a leap) over the 360 and especially not at the price PS3 will retail for. I will get on eventually though, because I'm sure there will be games that will never make it to the 360 that I'll want to play.

I'm not sure about the Wii yet. I have the same concerns that a few people have expressed, where a lot of the games may just make "gimmicky" use of the controller, with one or two token wand functions and the rest of the controls being traditional joy pad.

They are going to be cheap though, and I am going to Japan for a few days in September for the TGS, so if they're out by the I might be tempted into picking one up

Will get a Wii at launch. As for the PS3 i was thinking of waiting until next year, but if i put away a ?100 a month starting next month i could easily get the system with some games and still be financially stable. I'm not getting a 360 until it's on it's last legs, just like the Xbox which i bought not to long ago.

I already own a launch day PAL 360 - still going strong with no problems.
I tend to shy away from buying launch consoles due to unreliability and the 360 is a prime
example of this. I've just been lucky.
I don't see any point in importing a 360, it's quite globally focused and it's easier to return when it inevitably breaks.

I want a Wii REAL bad. I will 100% be buying an import NTSC console. never again will i give my money to the filthy bastards at Nintendo Europe. I'll be going USA route cuz can't understand japanese.
I want one at launch but launch consoles make me nervious, I may just buy GC Zelda and wait a few months till the Wii is fully available and order one from VG+ maybe? don't really know where to get one from.

PS3 i will own one day, just not anytime soon. Price is insane. Only games worth playing are quite a while away. (MGS4, DMC4 etc.) Launch console will be dodgy as ****. Also i want to wait and see how this "Region free" proposition works out. I Want a Multi Region Playstation again just like i had with the first and second consoles.
We may get this out of the box, or might have to see how the console mod chip scene pads out.

I'm doing as Moore suggests.... Wii and 360 for me!

Wii will be on launch for sure, and 360 when I can afford - but for Halo 3 at the absolute latest!

The only thing I'm definatley sure of at the moment is getting a Wii at launch date.

As for a PS3/360, I still don't really know. I won't even consider buying a PS3 until FF13 is available. On the 360 side, it just doesn't have any games announced that really interest me so I can't see myself picking one of those up for at least a year, if ever. So it looks to be a Wii at launch date, then in a year I'll evaluate the 360/PS3 and see which is better value for money.

Edit: What would be the advantage of importing a US Wii? If it's a worldwide release then surely there isn't any advantage - while the console itself may be cheaper, you'd have to pay postage and possibly get stung by import tax or whatever so that would make it just as expensive, if not more so than the UK version. I imagine I'll be getting a PAL version of everything (unless I've overlooked some huge advantage for a US Wii )
