The thing about the GBA Micro was its price. £69.99 was just too much for old tech, particularly with the fully backward compatible DS being available for around £20 more.

I always thought the Micro should've been around £30 tops and sold in places such as petrol stations and newsagents as well as game stores. That would make it a great impulse buy. And with faceplates packs at around £5 (as someone else suggested), that would've made it the perfect cheap alternative handheld to the DS.

      Quoted for truth.

You must also buy the sublime puzzler, DigiDrive from the bitGenerations series. It's my favourite puzzler of all time - deliciously tricky to get the hang of but oh-so-satisfying once you have.

I always felt that the Micro was the alternative. It is / was cheaper than any other console out there and is still the only truly handheld console.

You are fully right about the price though, but it is a superbly designed bit of kit and looks, feels and plays nicer than any handheld in my opinion.

Did anyone else get there lovely cheap Micros today?

I got a green one and it looks so much nicer in the flesh then i thought it would, really is a diddy little thing. I agree about it being the only truely portable handheld, at least now i can take River City Ransom with me where ever i go. YAY!!!

It may well be irrelevant now given the price a new Micro can be picked up for, but when my faceplate got scratched last year on holiday I simply rung Nintendo and bought a new one over the phone. It cost about £7 and was shipped from Germany if I recall correctly.
