    Classic Videogame Covers @ Blockbuster

    Go to http://www.blockbuster.co.uk

Does anyone have any logical explanation of why they have a complete gallery of videogame covers dating back to the Spectrum and C64 days?

Try it - Search for an old videogame and it's likely they'll have it. I guess they kept a backlog of all the games they've ever rented out. Very strange!

Useful though. Check out this Street Fighter boxart. Is that Ryo Hazuki?!

Except BBlockbuster didn't exist when any NES, MasterSystem, Spectrum or C64 games were available.

        OMG, classic codemasters.

        Poor dead characters...

We'd never get a game like THIS these days:

It's just searching the database at www.spong.com , though it is quite interesting anyhow

                  What the heck is that?

And I've never seen that Flimbo's quest cover! I had the game on a cartridge with Fiendish Freddy, Commodore Soccer and something else.

I'm guessing it's going to mean that Gamestation, which theoretically sells such stuff, is going to be incorporated into the BB site.

                      Oh yes.

I thought PeteJ's explanation was more on the money - there are Spong logos everywhere on the Blockbuster site. Despite owning gamestation, Blockbuster are currently keeping Gamestation a separate entity/brand.
