Fun idea, but you won't be getting my dedicated laserdisc player unless you pry it from my cold, dead fingers. I rather doubt the picture quality is as good on those babies.

you can mod the laseractive to give you seperate Y/C out and then it is as good as any of the UK model laserdisc players that were released, but not as good as some of the elite players that came out in japan.

Good as a 925? Really? Nice. Does it do optical and RF outputs for surround as well? I might have to invest in one as a backup...

picture wise it is as good as the 925 but there is no digital out and so you cant get DD, unless you are pretty good with a soldering iron, which is a shame.

DTS on laser is still the best sound format out there, although D-Theater is getting pretty good.
