I'm with what Silvergun and Marcus say in replies 27/29.

I'm 42 in November with a young child and to be honest can't invest the time that a lot of the modern games like COD need.

After the young one is in bed I really can't be arsed putting on the XBOX for an hour as it's too much trouble plus doing a level or getting to the next save point may take well over that amount of time, thats what Friday evenings 1000-0200 are for.

That's why I'm actively seeking a JAP Saturn, so I can flop on the bed and have a quick blast on VF or one of the fine shooters or even get a PS and some of the good titles released on that - retro is becomming my want of late.

After a while of malaise have just got into my gaming mode again with Tekken DR on the PSP which I suppose is a retro title in itself.

Reading someof these replies has put a thought into my mind about a feature that one of our 'fine' writers on her should write up - someone should write an article on how to enjoy gaming from small details like the distance you sit from the TV to the time you should invest in a game. I know everyone has different quirks in how they play. But no one really has done an 'How to' on gaming!

      Someone should write it! lol

surely doing that would make it less fun?

"oh no, I'm not the ntsc-uk approved 3ft from my viewing portal, I'm going to hell etc"

plus you'd all recommend a 360 plus xbox live for the ultimate gaming experience.

        I'd rather die!

I often go back to what I regard as classics. It doesn't mean I don't wish there would be fresh material from the developers I used to rely upon to keep me interested in gaming though.

Have to agree on the Capcom comments. They're one of the few which still keep me engaged.
