I can pull of fireballs 90% of the time. The pad's not perfect, but it's certainly useable.

but the thing is, i find old sf is much more punishing with regards to the moves anyway. therefore, if the xbl version is also as punishing, then that means it's an even closer port than we'd have believed
seriously, i had my sf alpha phase a while back, and going back to ssf2t was a nightmare as i had been used to (what i believe to be) the more forgiving controls of the alpha games (specifically alpha 3).
it's a shame, marcus, but if it is that bad then yeah just leave it man, no point getting stressed over it. at least you've bought it, so if/when the controller adapters start gracing lik-sang's pages you'll have an opportunity to try again with whatever pad is best for you (i.e. the saturn pad. you know it makes sense)

Is there not a Joystick for the 360? ..whats the DOA one like?
I've got one of them Hori controllers with a better D-pad, however the ABXY buttons are frankly awful: if you don't press them fully down, and precisely in the middle of the button, they don't register.
If I could couple the Hori D-pad with the standard controller, it'd be ideal.

Looks like they have patched the game today.

The title update will address connection and time out issues that have been reported by players. In addition, the Leaderboards will be cleared in order to offset players that have cheated by causing intentional disconnections.
Great news!
