Who's getting a PS3 before Christmas?

Not a chance for me either - Unless some uber-game appears that's like nothing anybody has seen before and gets 10/10 in Edge.

Even then I'll wait for the price drop - too many other things fighting for my cash.

Nope. I remember what it was like during the first year of the PS2's life - it was dire - and I don't wanna risk going through that again with the PS3. Besides, the PS3's launch price is way too expensive for me.

Same here. Wii and too many 360 games are coming out to be able to afford a PS3 which is looking like it will have one of the worst launch lineups ever.

i know there is alot of stuff packed into the PSthree but its just damn expensive

Don't think I've ever been less enthusiastic about a new console tbh. Too expensive, the games I've seen so far look underwhelming (1080p seems to be a distant memory) & Blu Ray seems to have only been included to help Sony win a format war.

Sony have been completely arsey about people importing psp's so I'm dubious about the region free/ import side of things too.

I have a pre-order, but then pre-ording is free and not binding.

I am a sucker for new technology, but to be honest the only PS3 game that I have any excitment for currently is the new SingStar and the promise of downloading songs for it like iTunes... That is only because my wife is mad for it.

?450 for a new SingStar? Don't think so. Maybe if some other game catches my eye.

The PS3's problem is Xbox Live. I don't think it will be able to compete.

I'll be getting one when, and only when, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Devil May Cry 4 have hit the shelves. Currently, there's nowt thats looking at a launch date release that excites me.

And hopefully, by the time MGS4 is out, Sony will have realised that they've made a huge mistake in pricing it so rediculously and will have lowered the price.

Was never a big Sony-hater, but their PSP-import debacle made me think twice about supporting such an arse of a corporation. I'm still a videogame fan, though, so if enough good games come out to warrant a purchase, then a purchase will be made ... but at the moment, all the previews I've seen look distinctly meh.

Well i have one on preorder, just incase as i have always got a new console ASAP (i just cant help myslef sometimes) However with the price being so high, and the lack of any decent games on the horizon it looks like ill be waiting until next year for the first time ever.
