Seems like Criterion want a Crackdown style DLC experience.

Good news, more Burnout the better.

The new Wyclef Jean & Paul Simon music video...

Trust me, if you didn't like the product placement in Casino Royale then you're going to really hate this video!

        EDIT:

"Fast Car," which features Paul Simon as a guest vocalist, is the second single from Jean's latest hit album, "Carnival Vol. II: Memoirs of an Immigrant." The "Fast Car" video picks up where Jean left off in the video for the chart-topping "Sweetest Girl." The story starts with the multi-platinum artist receiving a message on his PSP system, pointing him to his next mission. From there, Jean accesses his PS3 system to enter the open world racing of Burnout Paradise, which serves as the video's visual backdrop. Burnout Paradise is built to provide the ultimate in freedom and discovery online and offline, where players are able to create their own personal driving experience. PLAYSTATION®Eye also makes a cameo appearance in the video.

Wyclef Jean directed and wrote the concept for the "Fast Car" video with collaboration from Leopoldo Gout of Curious Films.

For a limited time beginning on March 27, PS3 owners will be able to download the video in high-definition from PLAYSTATION Store, and PSP owners will be able to download the video via a PC from http://store.playstation.com. In addition to offering the "Fast Car" video, PLAYSTATION Store will also have special behind-the-scenes videos featuring an interview with Jean available for PS3 owners to download.
Burnout Paradise is now available worldwide and has been rated E10+ by the ESRB and 3+ by PEGI. For more information about Burnout Paradise, please visit http://burnout.ea.com or the EA press website at http://info.ea.com.
Woohoo...it's free to download in a couple of days!!

They didn't even have the decency to make it a cover of the Tracy Chapman song.

Actually the words `Tracy Chapman` and `decency` aren't ones you find very often in the same sentence.

I can't be bothered to watch that video all the way through, but do they illiustrate the hazards of singing whilist driving?
Do we get to see Wyclef get crunched into a tiny cube of distorted metal and paint?

Criterion are really talking up the DLC for this on their site :-

                      http://www.criteriongames.com/

plus there is a compo to design a race and get it in a later release too.

could be quite interesting this as I hated the demo and what they were saying pre-release but once I got the game (after quite a few hours) really loved the design choices they'd made and at least it felt a bit different.

if they've got some more tricks up their sleeve could really prolong the lifespan of the game, which sounds like a good thing.

wish I felt the same, it just felt too loose for me and I wubs every Burnout to death that came out before it. Tried it for 4 or 5 hours but it just didn't click. Shame really as the download content sounds fantastic.

I'm with you Mike - I love the Burnout series, but Paradise just didn't do it for me. Despite really trying to like the full game, I was relieved I only rented it. Let's hope the next incarnation is a return to good ol' 'choose a track and then race and race and race until you get first place' - that's what I would like anyway.

I'm really looking forward to some DLC. The singleplayer hasn't been played in a long time but we've had some classic multiplayer LIVE sessions just tooling around the city doing silly jumps and such.

Criterion games have added some videos of the DLC areas now.

Looking at the official site it makes you realise just how much one of our forum's members spends playing this game. Every time my PS3 is on he seems to be playing it and this what it's got him on a global scale...
