So update on this.. Dark_Alex has released a new version of devhook that works with his homebrew enabler for 2.71.

    So it goes like this:
    I've got a TA-082.
I update the firmware to 2.71 (used to have 2.60).
I then download Alex's Homebrew Enabler Tiff exploit (revision B) and install
I then download Alex's Devhook for 2.71 and install
I then download a decrypted 1.50 firmware (should be ok to talk about that here) and drop it into the relevant devhook folders

Result: I am now able to run 1.50 firmware on my TA-082, and all associated homebrew. It's fecking brilliant.

If anyone needs further info.. Let me know.

Sorry to dig up this old thread but I am getting confused how to get 1.5/2.71 or 3.02 etc dual boot.

I have manged to upgrade from 2.70 to 2.71 and thats all I know how to really. I have read all the forums and am still no better for it. I have download the downgrader 2.71 to 1.5 but having difficulty understanding the readme and instructions etc.

Anyone be able to help please? Would like to be able to run my PS1 games on the PSP and possibly other emus etc.

The 15.6MB Downgrader2.71FULL.exe is what you want. It is a step by step guide.

Don't know if it's required but I had to factory reset the machine before I could flash it.

Thanks, might have a go soon when I buck up the courage

Will I still be able to play Loco Roco etc?

1.5 won't be able to play LocoRoco, but it will allow you to install custom firmware that has all the features of 1.5 as well as all of them from the latest firmware, 3.03.

If you use Devhook you could still use 1.5 (sorry if this has already been mentioned)

Once downgraded the firmware can be flashed to 3.03 Oe-a'

This will play (afaik) all of the PSP and PSX (once converted) games.
