Parcel force site update

How long did it take to get from being in the air to updated by PF? 2 Days?

Mine just left LA yesterday morning so I guess I can expect an update tomorrow?

My stepdown is a 300watt one I got for my 360, so I know its not that that's the problem. When you turn the Wii on, does the fan start? or does that only happen when you put a game in? Also, when I tried to put a disc it, there was no mechanism that sucked the disc in......does it only let you insert a disc when you have run the system setup, location, name, wep....etc? if so, then I may just have a faulty composite lead. please can someone confirm the questions that I have? thanks

Just to clarify: The Console powers up, but I get no image to the screen, and the fan doesn't spin, and the disc slot doesn't suck the disc in. It isn't completely dead, but nothing works.....help.....please

It might sound silly but have you checked your TV settings? I know with my old Toshiba there were 3 AV inputs and they could all be changed in the menu's between Comosite/S-video/Component and I remember going from S-video to Component with my GC and thinking I had a duff Component cable only to discover that it needed switching from S-video to Component in the AV settings.

Al the AV settings I have is a button that lets me cycle through all the AV channels. none of them display an image. My old Toshiba used to let me choose the AV settings, but my Samsung LCD doesn't. I simply have to keep pressing the AV button. I know exactly what you mean about switching between s-video/composite as I probably had the same Tosh as you. thanks for the help though.....any other ideas?......i think I really need to try a different lead to see, but nobody has any......it's killing me to look at Zelda and know I can't play it

How have you got it plugged in to the TV? I've got mine in a SCART block, and it's on EXT 1. on my Samsung, probably very similar to the one you use.

I tried it through 3 phono composite...no picture, so I stuck it in a scart block and it doesn't display through EXT1 either. Just tried my 360 through composite and that works fine, so I know the connectors on the TV are ok. It's either the Wii lead, the lead connector on the console, or the machine is ****ed.

Okay, my Wii is now in the UK but I'm a little worried... On the FedEx tracking site it shows:

Nov 23, 2006 4:40 PM Int'l shipment release STANSTED GB

Shouldn't it have changed status by now? It's almost been 5 hours

If I don't get my Wii tomorrow I'll be gutted.

How do I contact the customs to pay it with my card, does anyone have the number?

It's up to the postal carrier to collect any import duty so you shouldn't need to contact HM Customs. My status has changed to "AWAITING CUSTOMS CHARGING" as well.

In theory, the person who delivers it should ask you for any import duty/VAT due on the package. That's what happens with couriers (though they often invoice later) and with normal post the postman is supposed to collect it at the door. I'm not sure how Parcel Force 24 work but I'd hope they'd be the same as a courier. You could always call Parcel Force to check I guess - post what they say if you do call them.

Based on previous experience with couriers, you ought to receive it tomorrow - assuming there are no shenanigans with Customs, which there shouldn't be.
