It seem the fever for the Anniversary edition has tempered the rush for the normal pro. I hold no hope of getting the anniversary edition.

Just a warning as well, Sony are actively signing you out of the store.

Sony PR struggling to explain value of 5Pro in an IGN interview.

“Well, the technologies that I just mentioned that we are putting in to deliver new experiences for game players, and also not just the technological differences, but the SSD, the Wi-Fi 7, and the new technologies that surround the gameplay as well,” he said. “So it’s more of a full package that will give that exceptional value to the players...the most engaged players that we’re targeting.”

Er no it plays exactly the same games as the PS5 and won’t have any exclusives.


“For the disc drive, it is an option for players,” he told IGN. “Not all players have discs, even though most players may...but we have the option for being able to add that for those players. So I think it’s more of the balance of the value proposition that we’re giving.”

Whoops. Most players may have discs so we’ll screw them for another £100 to keep using them.

I’m the kind of guy that happily sprung for the 1X and 4Pro but messaging like this just puts me off.

Direct has effectively crashed already, first they put everyone in a Que, now the Que has paused.

Edit. So here’s how it works, everyone is in a waiting room, come 10am everyone gets a random number in the cue, if your luck to get a low number you’ll get a Pro special, if not bad luck.

Looks like I managed to order a Pro 30th bundle (Norway). What a price... the equivalent of £1010! But I guess I will sell the Edge-controller and my old PS5 so it will not be *that* bad, except for the inability to handle my fomo.

I thought it'd be about a grand. It's pretty much the price of all the gubbins in there added up to be fair.

Well done on securing a unit! I would maybe consider hanging onto the Edge pad to keep the set complete. The 20th Anniversary PS4 sets are worth about £1300 to £1400 now.

Que down to 16mins now, I think people are either giving up, or all the stocks already gone and people are exiting the store quickly. Either way this is a crap situation.

what a cluster **** the problem here is what other items guarantees a 2x5 return on your investment, it’s like the leaches are out in force and no doubt coordinated to get as many as they can to drive the price even higher.

i doubt that many of these will end up in the hands of people that actually want to use them. they will be stories popping up about the likes of Jake paul or Post Malone paying thousands over rrrp for a really low number pro bundle.

The Que goes back up to 8 mins every time it goes under 5, so I’m guessing the bots have dugout a way to keep bumping people out to prioritise connections.

The anniversary edition is already sold out, I expect the standard Pro will be the same by the time I'm able to get on the store.

reports are that the standard pro is supposedly set to unlimited preorders but may take extra time to get to you depending on when you order it in the queue
