Clearly it must make money — Christ knows why — but closing three studios to pursue dreck like Mortal Kombat as a "key franchise" is depressing.

It's definitely reflective of Warners recent slash and burn approach. Player First Games closure isn't too surprising given how MultiVersus has gone, similar with WB San Diego and the whole mobile side of things where they can easily just license out. Monolith though is hugely short sighted, they just needed to get out the studios way. Hell, even let them return to safer ground on less expensive stuff like FEAR. Instead they touch larger success with LOTR once and then get mismanaged by Warners for a decade chasing that rarified $$$ air.

Yeah I laughed when Pikotaro appeared, such a weird choice but yes please, totally on board. They showed various artists for the ghosts im wondering if it’s just elements from them or they are going to do voicework as having a ghost Pikotaro would be fun. Can’t wait to see what odd combinations you’ll be able to fuse together to make chimeras.

Level 5 makes some amazingly polished stuff with interesting worlds to explore.
