Wii component cable

I was just playing OoT via component - to my eyes it looks better than TP via composite. It acually looks 3d.

That was exactly what I thought too. OoT via component looks really clean and stylish.

I wouldn't go as far to say I was very annoyed, but the lack of component cables ready for the launch date was a very dumb move. How many people on here have had their first impressions of the console dominated by thoughts of "nice control, but looks really **** on my telly"?

You'll still get that using component, it dosen't seem to do a very good job. The whole of the wii front end looks fuzzy. It looks better in game (I only have wii sports & wii play) but not by much. Would it really be impossible for it to do 720p? I read a quote somewhere with Nintendo saying via a firmware update, 1080p with be manageable. I would imagine games would run at 3 fps though!
I'm sure progressive on my USA GC looks much nicer than this.

For the record, I tried some Progressive GC games out on my Wii, and they looked the same as on my GC.

found some blaze component cables going for $10. it says it will usually ship between 3-5 days. don't know if they are reliable or not, but for $10 and how desperate i am. i put an order in.

I've ordered one too. I simply refuse to pay over the odds for a bloody cable.

I ordered one from this site (cancelled it though). Seemed to get an increase in junk mail after though so be warned which email address you use.

Mine was sent the Friday before last and I haven't had it yet either (although it could still come today).

I remember ordering a DS from P-A in December last year and it took ages (About 3 weeks, if I remember correctly) to arrive, purely because of the increase in volume of post over this period. I'm sure they'll all turn up soon enough.
