Well after getting fed up with the constant release date push back I resorted to eBay for my official component cables. I of course went straight to eBay US, seeing as the UK prices were obscene and the exchange rate is so good at the moment. I managed to get official wii component cables, with express international delivery from japan (3-4 days) for ?30. Only ?5 more than I was paying with Game. So I'm happy with my purchase.

Oh also, anyone looking to get a component switch, don't, I repeat DONT buy the Joytech AV Control Center 540C, it rapes your PQ. I bought one this week from Amazon.co.uk and whilst the ethernet hub is awesome, it just isnt worth it due to the PQ loss, so I sent that back to Amazon this morning. I just bought the JS Technology Component switcher with some high end Belkin component leads, so I can switch between my 360 and Wii on component and it works a treat. No signal loss and its automatic switching. It's great!

So how much is JS Technology Component switcher ? and how many inputs ?

I got XBOX, Wii, GC, PS2, XBOX 360 and want to switch on all of it and one to spare.

Um, they are ?55 and only have two inputs, but you can daisy chain more than one together. Although they are relatively expensive, I HIGHLY reccomend one (or more).

The Joytech one has enough to support that, put I really really wouldnt get one.

Picked my cable up today - everything is much sharper, but tbh I think the wii in 480p doesn't even match up to the GC in the same res

That's odd - try playing Smash Bros Melee in a Wii and a Cube and switch between them. They should be indentical.

Maybe it's because Zelda is a 16:9 game, and the resolution is being stretched across the whole panel rather than pillarboxed for 4:3 games?

I agree. Through composite it's super blury and low-res. Through component it's just blury and low-res.

Start playing it now and enjoy it, you really are missing very little by using composite.
