Wind Waker destroyed my love for Zelda games, not what i wanted or expected from a Link adventure. However after a long thought and the fact that Red Steel turned out like it did im willing to give it another go.

It still seams quite split on the Monkey Ball vs Rayman front

For mini games - go with Rayman till Smooth Moves comes out....

Is that based on play impressions?

I would like to play both SMB and Rayman, but considering that I'll also be getting Wii Play plus Wii Sports plus (inevitably) Wario Ware, that is a fecking lot of minigames

Would anyone say SMB is worth buying for the main game alone?

They both look trash, get Trauma Centra or Wii Play with extra remote.

Trauma Centre is not launch and Wii-Play is getting some of the worse reviews out there

But Wii Play is only a few quid more expensive than an extra controller which I would be buying anyway. And the tank game on it looks mint

I think the reviews of wii play are forgetting it's effectively only costing a few quid - if you're gonna get a second remote anyway, it'd be rude not to get it....

                    Get SMB. It's excellent.

Sadly there is a glitch for the absolute hardest level in SMB history, level 10-5, where there is a platform that you simply fall through when it's supposed to be solid. Luckily, if you're good enough, you can still complete the level.

For a few quid more than the controller on it's own, Wii Play can be forgiven.

Trauma Centre is out in the US or something (I've seen someone say they've got it) so presumed it would be over here. I guess wait for that then.

I would have gone for DBZ, Trauma Centre and Metal Slug but we didn't get any of them. Instead we got some middle of the road racers from Ubi Soft.

I still can't make my mind up. Anybody know how good Monkey Target is on the Wii?

Yeah, why have I heard nothing about Wii Monkey Target? If it's as good as the original it should justify the price of the game. SMB1 Monkey Target kept me coming back for one more go months after release.

In fact, the "one more go" factor is the only thing that really matters about Monkey Ball. If the game keeps bringing me back to beat my scores and improve my replays, as SMB1 did, then its shortness won't bother me.
