well with stock coming in all over the place theres no way im going to pay that sort of money, cancelled my other pre order as amazon said i had one secured to be dispatched monday (yea right ft: ). Its not for me unfortunatly but my mother cant find one and its needed for my brothers present she cant afford to pay above RRP so the highstreet looks the best bet...Just where to start

Am in a boat that looks very similair to yours Crimson scowering the highstreets and making plenty of phone calls are the special moves I am using at the moment but they dont seem to be yielding much in the way of results. Hoping to secure one for my 2 weeks off at Xmas but like you say time is running out and I aint THAT fussed that I am going to pay over RRP... fingers crossed though, a little bit of Xmas magic may still happen.

Well, I should say that I got an email saying the thread had updated at 9:21, four minutes after the actual post. If only the email was faster I might have got one!!! I expect you'll probably be okay as you have a conformation.

Hope so mate. Hope you find one soon. I was only browsing Amazon whilst eating breakfast at the time when I noticed the Wii page had an 'Add to cart' button (something of a rarity). Lucky.

Cheers, you never know, I always pop in to the local Woolworths just in case but no luck yet. I do know one thing for certain though: the majority of people on this thread are never going to not bother pre-ordering a console ever again

Too right and well in advance too. I originally had one preordered at Shopto.net in September, but they emailed me something like 2 weeks before launch that they would not have enough Wii to sort me with one. Well, I thought that's it... highstreet hunt! Kicking myself I didnt re-preorder with them or even anywhere else, as I know someone who preordered a Wii at HMV only a week ago and got one already.

I've been to Toys R Us twice after them phoning me saying "we are getting some in tomorrow" (on 2 occassions.) Only to get there a 6am to find a queue of a about 80-100, most who had stayed the night. Jib that

Ordered on the 15th, and money came out of my avalable ballance on the 15th which i assumed was all fine so never thought any more of it. Came back sunday evening to find 4 unpaid items emails, natuarlly confused as its already come out of my account i went down the the bank to investigate. The bank told me amazon have taken the money out as an outstanding transaction on the 15th but never finalised the deal so i would have to wait 3 days before the money would revert back into my account but if i ring Amazon they can just confirm this transaction and it should all be fine. So after must be 2 hours on the phone talking to mindless idiots who kept saying no we havnt recieved paymount bla bla bla even though i had a recipt sayign they had! just needed to confirm the transaction, got so annoyed and tried to pay with another card. Only AFTER i had payed they said 'Sorry mr lander we currently dont have stock in till most likly after christmas now ive got one reseved waiting to be shipped tommorow dont i? No mr Lander you name is on the next allocation shipment expected in on about the 27th there must be a mistake with your shipping estimates im sorry. I can offer you a refund though although it will take about 5 days to get into your account' ft: Pissed of at them i cancelled there order, but today they have them in stock again FFS DEATH TO ALL THAT IS AMAZON
