    Well aye, of course. What I implied was that it took a while for the likes of the Zipstick to appear, so a microswitched quickshot was welcomed

        I was a C64 boy, although living in Australia there wasn't much of a choice. The Speccy was very much an import thing down here.

        I still love most of the C64 games more than the Speccy ones but through emulation you learn two things.

        a) 90% of everything really is crap.

        b) When it comes to old games you really only feel that warmth to those you played as a kid.

        I have to say though, playing through a few speccy games years ago (via an Amiga emulator) it's easy to see why Ultimate was seen as the biz. The coding on their speccy games was tight and the feel of their games were amazing compared to their competition back in the day.

        When other companies just managed to animate stick figures these guys had written Knight Lore!
