Codejunkies' New Freeloader definatley does work on a PAL Wii!!

I got mine today from Codejunkies site. Cost - ?9.99.

I tested it on a few USA games & it works fine, HOWEVER, I tried a Jap version of Waverace that I got cheap recently from PlayAsia & it wouldnt play on my Wii. It got to a screen full of Japanese text, I pressed every button on the pad & not a dicky bird

I have yet to try it on my GC. It might be because according to the back of Waverace its a promo copy, but I cant be 100% sure.

I'll let u know later of any other info.

Excellent news thanks for letting us know. I think JAP Waverace always had a problem with Freeloader but I'm not sure.

i had a usa gamecube and used a freeloader

but i could never get the pal version of PN03 to work with it

Careful. There are now 3 versions - you need to buy the version for your region (i.e. US freeloader on US Wii).

You linked to the US site, which is going to have the one for the US Wii.

but you cant actually get to a uk.com domain for buying of their site, when you go anywhere near the freeloader it takes you to US very confusing

No, u need to click on the Euro flag for the PAL FL, which is based in the UK.

By the way, this New Euro version is numbered 1.0e. The 'e' is for Europe I pressume, which looks as though you'll have to buy the correct region version from now on instead of the FL being all region compatible.
Where ever u order it from will be the region it is for i.e. if u order from the USA site you'll get the USA Wii version & if u order from the Euro site you'll get the PAL Wii version.

I tried the following USA GC games from my collection:

Baten Kaitos,
Starfox Assault,
Battalion Wars,
Chibi-Robo,
Fire Emblem.

All worked fine without any problems whatsoever.

with the cube's freeloader you'd press Z to bring up the region-forcing flags. try it and see
