    LittleBigPlanet [PS3] - Out Now!

Does anyone actually care about this game? I posted a thread on Refugees and no-one cared to comment to even say they thought it was **** or anything!

I personally think it looks amazing. Could be a right winner! So for those not in the know, Here ya go:

Care about it? It's the big announcement of the year so far, and along with Heavenly Sword (which is looking better and better) could be a reason to own the PS3.

I`m so looking forward to this, but can see a few problems in the pipeline with user made levels, mainly with the stickers option which I believe allows you to upload pictures from your console. Porn etc. Are sony going to vet user made levels or make it share with friends only?

That aside I can see the NTSC-UK time trials being a Friday night beer drinking winner.

To see the videos for this and then realise no NTSC-UK ...... I think this looks amazing, I just hope that they don't try and get too clever - as it looks now just looks sublime!

This (and Heavenly Sword) is THE game to make me consider purchasing a PS3 - up until now I had no intention of buying one.

Love the bit at the end of the trailer showing how the community can grow with your design moving up the most played list.

One thing I've noticed with PS3 that I also noticed with PS2 vs. Dreamcast is that Sony seem to know how to create more solid looking graphics. Can't quite explain it, but looking at the best on 360 (my current favourite console) and best on PS3 the images on the PS3 look more detailed - is it things like the lighting on Little Big Planet, the textures, whatever it looks great.

Finally saw the hi-res video of the conference footage.

I have always enjoyed the cardboard/model world visuals when it has been used in other media.

Only problem so far seems to be the camera. Might be a good idea to switch to the standard four screen mode when the characters get too far apart or a '24' style viewport for the one or two characters that are causing the problem.

I think the depth of field effect goes a long way to producing that illusion of clarity (Not that I'm saying it isn't there) - the stark contrast between the blurring accentuates the sharpness in the foreground.

But to put my excitement for this game into context... GIBBER!

Yeh, thats a strange one, they seem to want to keep everyone together which would be fair enough if all playing on the one TV but online that wouldnt be an issue so here's hoping they let you split up, as if you've created a massive level to play about with, you'd like to be able to wander about as you please without having to all hold hands and do it together!

This blew me away when I see it!!1!

Sony needed something big. This was it. Why the **** didn't they show this off sooner?

I think you're right, I also think the quality of the lighting is important - it almost looks like a radiosity based render - running in real time.

But graphics or no, this is a great idea for a game.

There has never been a game I have wanted more, even everyone at work (where I am the only person getting a PS3) are loving it.

Oh and the new EDGE out thursday has a cover story on it

Other than the incredible graphics and lovely art style, I can't see anything to get excited about.
I'm sure it would be funny once building your own level, but it looks tedious to me.

I think it looks excellent and I love the ideas they are using, but I do think it's potential is being hyped too much. User made levels are normally worthless, and if the actual creation of the level isn't particularly fun then the game will just not work.

The 4 player trailer I saw was impressive visually but to me seemed like a ?20-?30 purchase, play with it then....bin.
A predictible FAPFEAST, sure enough it has begun and lo and behold its on the front of edge this month oh and of course its one of the FIRST EVER games to use physics!
                              I'm dead inside.
