They are 2 complete twats who present a TV show about Japanese culture - they get on my tits. They have this wicked skill tho - hatever it is they are showing no matter how heavy it is they can make it look **** - incredible!

I want to see them get jacked by Yakuza brers who want to sell their bottom to next manz, I'd record that.

No. It looked more to me that he was having a go at people who obsess over the scores which EDGE release. You know, the eternal whinging score brigade. As if the game they looked at would mean more or less with regards to its worth depnding on how people would percieve a 7/10 score in EDGE.

thats basically what I said. I didn't limit the po-faced-ness to Edge itself... I actually thought Joe was impersonating an obsessive Edge reader rather than an Edge staffer.

The leap I made was by assuming Edge encourages that level of obsession, with it's 'not for everyone' posturing and such like.

I didn't mean to generate anti-Edge debate though, Edge is still about as good as it gets when it comes to their articles.

They are two very funny guys who used to have their own show on Channel 4. They were originally recruited by 4 when they submitted a number of witty, well written sketches for 4’s Take Over TV show (a show which was mostly awful and consisted of viewers sending in their own little sketches filmed on home video).

The Adam & Joe show ran on Channel 4 for a few series and largely consisted of amusing skits, many of which were a big influence for stuff like Bo Selecta and Trigger Happy TV (Example, Joe walks into a supermarket and starts eating and drinking part of the items marked 25% free. When questioned by security, he explains he just wants the free bit. He is promptly thrown out of the store to much hilarity).

The best parts of their Channel 4 show were the film remakes using their Cuddly toy collection. Cue massive piss takes based on Saving Private Ryan, Titanic, Kids, etc, etc, all with a very knowing humour that appealed to film fans especially. Generally, they are very knowledgeable about films, music, games etc and most of their gags revolve around these.

Adam & Joe Go Tokyo is based from a studio in Tokyo (no surprises) and shows them talking about Japanese culture and interviewing guests with their usual humour. Most of the Japanese seem to really take to them, especially the guy who invented Karaoke, who thought Adam’s screeching rendition of Radiohead (sung in a Japanese Karaoke bar full of locals) took Karaoke in new directions.

Depends if you like their humour, but personally I find it very intelligent and yet fantastically puerile at the same time. I could watch them all day long.

Adam & Joe are very funny & likeable chaps - their film parodies using toys were laugh out loud hilarious & their links for the 50 Greatest Magic Tricks were brilliant.

I've only caught 2 shows from this series though - liked what I saw

Yep, yep. Adam and Joe are very funny, and Go Tokyo is almost as good as their Channel 4 show. You can still get a video compilation of the Channel 4 show, with most of their film parodies.

I think Adam and Joe go Tokyo is good stuff, I like the way they've set themselves up with Joe as the Otaku and Adam as a sceptic.

It really is an awesome show. They clearly want to be there and enjoy doing what they do, and even though they're comedy people you do get a good insight into Tokyo.
The stuff about the Japanese "salary-men" was great and the bit where they try to get big in Japan was crazy. Did you see the bit where the Japanese guy thought they sounded like Belle and Sebastian?!

Still we got the trailer for 'Battle Royal 2'. And the band at the end weren't half bad and neither was the leader singer whats there name again cos a trip to kazaa may be needed
