Store Download Speeds

Also, don't judge download speed from the PSN from what you get shortly after the Thursday updates. They get absolutely hammered at these times.

I usually set them to download and leave the PS3 on overnight, or download them on the Friday. Download speeds are very quick for me when the store's not getting caned.

There are instructions here for setting up the PS3 in the DMZ on routers, but that's a sledgehammer approach if you ask me. You can get NAT type 2 (Which is what you want) just by forwarding a few ports onto your PS3. I'm not at home at the moment, when I get home tonight I can list the ports you need.
