Thanks so much for this guide, I just used Entropay and now I, a filthy lowlife foreigner, am permitted to give money to Sony.

    Seriously though, thanks!

Good to see it's still working as Sony do tend to change things around from time to time.

Was there anything in the instructions that should be changed, could be changed to simplify things or did it just work OK when you tried?

I used the entropay and a US account to buy Wild arms in the week (Thanks John..sent you a mail via PS3) and it worked a treat.

New Entropay accounts don't work anymore since begin September: http://community.eu.playstation.com/...cending&page=1

so am I correct in thinkin that it's now impossible to set up a japanese account and use the codes from cards to buy stuff from the store?

I didn't see anything suggesting that wasn't possible, just that new Entropay accounts aren't working for the PSN any more.

Why do Sony, with their financial troubles, keep making it so difficult to give them money?

This might end up being a super noob question but the other day I changed my card details on my UK account to d/load both Resistance map packs. Before entering my Visa details I had my Maestro card registered. I've tried changing it back but it won't accept the card. I've had no trouble with my bank account, my details are correct and the PSN Store still lists Maestro as a payment option, anyone have any ideas what's going on?

                    Thanks!

Just had an email from HD Movie Source which is going to make some people happy. I've bought quite a few films from theses people and I've always had really good service so I'd be happy to use them.

                      $20 PSN Card (?13:59/$21:95)
                      $50 PSN Card (?33:34/$53:87)

They email the codes but also add postal charges on to them. It's ?3:09 for the $20 cards and ?5:56 for the $50:00 cards.

The postage seems really unfair but it may be the only option for some people. As the cards are available there now there may well be more places to get them from shortly without the exorbitant postage.

Just added some funds from my entropay card onto my USA account fine, is it just adding new cards that's going to be a problem?

Oh ignore last Q, existing accounts work fine.

Do 'gamepoints now' still work with ps3 JP store?

Let this be a cautionary tale for anyone deciding to randomly pick an address. The tax amount differs from state to state also. Here is the before (Ohio) and after (Delaware)...

My concern is that I have now drawn unwanted attention to myself. Of course its quite reasonable to move interstate in the US, but changing addresses within the first 24hrs of signup is not the way I'd have liked to start. Be warned. And if you are paying tax on your US purchases, ask yourself why.

                                I'm off to play Stardust
Oregon is a fine choice for a false US address if you're choosing to set one up. We don't have any sales tax here, so if something SAYS 4.99, it will BE 4.99. The most recent attempt at passing a sales tax failed by a 2-to-1 margin and that is the closest any attempt has ever gotten.

We are in most other aspects a wonderful place to be, as well, but that's neither here nor there really.
