WireCard have changed some things over the past couple of months so I'm not sure if the address checking still works in the same way or not.
I understand that PSN and Wirecard are not connected.

Well, I just re-entered my US address, changing it to the Madison Avenue address found on page one, I then went into the billing section and stuck in my Wirecard details, I then moved onto the second page where the 'working' Madison Avenue address was displayed, and confirmed the details.
As you might have guessed, it still does not work!

This is surely something to do with the Wirecard account and my UK address, they must have changed this 'online' aspect of it, as I am pretty sure it is not me being stupid!
Please can someone confirm if they have recently (in the last week or so) managed to sign up a non-US credit/debit card on the US PSN.

And the info on page one clearly states '...and your real address as the payment card details of your new Store Account. You won't be able to change the country on the PSN when registering a card, that dosen't matter.' This is not the case...

        Sorry, forgot to reply!

They have changed the JP/HK account way of doing things and I've not been able to add funds to those PSN accounts using WireCard for a while now.

My US account works perfectly for me though.

It's possible that they have changed the access on them since I set mine up. Are other people still able to add money to their US accounts using WireCard?

Did you add money at the time or was it already there?

I can still buy with the other accounts but can't add any more money with WireCard as it tells me that it fails when I try.

              I had to add.

Another evening nobbing around with this, I think I have figured out why it's not working!
Stumbled across a website where US resident PSN users were having trouble verifying their cards! One guy had this to say:

'... but on the Playstation Network, Sony apparently did an update on card security server-side after the initial PS3 launch that caused a lot of problems and headaches for users trying to input card info or update their card info in recent months...
The new security that they're using requires letter for letter, space for space ASCII accuracy when PSN attempts to verify your account info with your bank, both on your credit card name, as well as address info on your account.'

So I guess that is that, unless they get round to releasing US PSN prepaid cards...

One other thing I have read about, but have no experience of (maybe someone here does?)

Apparently in the US you can buy something called a 'VISA gift card', you get these in $25, $50 or $100 values and apparently you then go to a link on the back which allows you to register a name and address online!

Now, assuming they don't do some security check based on the US electorial register (and you can use this card at 13, so I can't see they would), then you could register your name against the fictional address you added to your US PSN, which would hopefully verify and in theory, you would go into the US PSN and it should add the funds!

The only problem is how in the UK I would go about getting a VISA gift card, as they are not sold on eBay... Anyone going to the US in the next few weeks who wants to give it a try...

In the meanwhile if anyone manages to register a non US credit card on the US PSN, please post how you did it here!

                  Cheers!

Yep, I added another $75 to my US wallet last night, but I do worry everytime I do it that it's suddenly going to stop working.

I was initially using an Egg Mastercard, but after becoming a victim of credit card fraud thanks to the Hong Kong store, my card was cancelled and I signed up with WireCard. Been using them ever since.

Yeah I've been adding funds over the last few weeks without any trouble at all. Added a new card to Wirecard too, though I haven't registered a new payment method with PSN since I initially setup Wirecard a few months back.

The options would I assume be the same as for the other stores, so the video in the first post of this thread should allow you to easily get through it.

Do they get different stuff to Japan/HK? Let me know once you've setup an account.

When you sign up do you use citizenship as your real address ie UK or set it up as USA if you want to use USA PSN store? Also page 2 it asks for a mobile to send a code I dont have a mobile cant they just email it or is it mandatory?

I was about to give this another go but judging from the most recent posts, it seems that you haven't yet registered a Wirecard account with US PSN, then it won't work now?
