There have been a lot of rumours over the past few weeks concerning the PSN changes that we're going to get leading up to the summer. Sony's John Hight has recently been talking about some of the changes with Gamasutra and has mentioned to expect a "pretty big change in the PlayStation Network in the early part of April" which he claims is based on customer requested changes.

It's worth reading through the 6 page interview as he talks about how they will simplify things, how they are actively looking to sign indie developers for downloadable games, the chance of import games appearing in the store

I have a small query since I am a new PS3 owner as of last week.

When you access the save data folder (for the PS3 games), you can sort the save files 'by title' but when you view the games that you have downloaded - be it a demo or a paid game - you can only sort them by creation date, format and last played.

Am I missing something obvious because it appears that you cannot sort the games by title? It might sound like a small niggle and makes me sound slightly sad but it seems to me that it is a very simple feature that just isn't there.

Anyway, since purchasing the PS3 last week, I have spent ?58.87 on the PlayStation store - no joke and yes, I do realise I am bat-**** mental so that saves you folks saying it to me.

I got six PSone games; Cool Boarders, Crash Team Racing, Destruction Derby, G-Police (850MB!!), Kula World and MediEvil.

I got seven PS3 downloadable games too and they are; flOw, GripShift, LocoRoco Cocoreccho, PixelJunk Monsters, Piyotama (so sweet), Super Rub' a' Dub (don't laugh) and Tekken Online.

I absolutely love the PS3, I really do.

Pffftt I do that every week nearly!!!

You can't sort by name but I find the way I sort them more useful anyway. If you press triangle on any of the games/demos, select Information from the list and under the heading Album type in a file name you want that game/demo to go into.

You can sort all your files into different albums doing that.

I've got all mine in four folders
        Playstation 3: Games
        Playstation 3: Demos
        Playstation 1: Games
        PSP: Games
        PSP: Demos

Once you've done that it's a lot easier to keep track of all your stuff. To make it simpler you can select to have the files inside folder listed by Recently Played which will keep the one's you've played last near the top of the list.

Not sure if it means much but it may be something to do with the way they are changing the PSN as we approach the summer, a more intergrated PSN maybe?

To be honest, I didn't realise that I was a member of that place.

If you're not a member it may be worth signing up to get things sorted before the changes.

Intriguing. I REALLY want to interact with the mongs that make up the vast majority of gamers!

I imagine this will be used for home interaction. Is home gonna be mandatory? I cannot see how using it can be quicker than the XMB which is a great GUI for its purpose.

I've set it up now. Took a few goes as I wasn't getting the link as it seems that you need to be using IE to get it.

                Have you linked yours yet?

                    A quick query folks:

If I deleted one of the games I bought on the PlayStation store, how and where can I re-download them or is it a case of 'once it is deleted, it is gone for good'?

Even if I manage to re-download the same game, do I get charged (again)?

                    Thanks.

If you login to your store account on the PS3 in the top right is a download list, that lists everything you've downloaded with the account. You can pick it from there and re-download, although it's limited in the amount of times you can do it I believe.

Brilliant and thanks for the very speedy reply too!

Going back to the thread in hand, any idea what is going up on the PlayStation store tomorrow?

                        Comment

Which store? I don't usually pay a lot of attention to the JPN or EU stores. That said, I also have no idea what's going up on the US store tomorrow.

Hoping for Dark Mist and the Oblivion DLC, purely because that's what I want at the moment.

I don't think there is a limit on the amount of times you can download it but Sony will only allow you to download it to 5 different PS3s for each purchase.

If you're a bit strange and somehow have 6 or more PS3s and want the game on each one you'll need to pay again after you've downloaded it to the first 5. I suppose that's only really a problem if the consoles belong to some sort of club or childrens hospice type thing where they could have a few accross the site.

                              Hi all,

Can someone clarify that if i dl a PS1 game from PSN store and it says it is PSP compatible (i.e Fade to black, Theme hospital, N2O etc), does it mean i can copy it straight to the memory stick and play it without going through REMOTE play?

                              Thanks!

Yep. The PS3 isn't a factor once the game is installed on the PSP.
